olive's first haircut

at 8 months i had to give olive her first haircut. her bangs were in her eyes and the bottom of her hair in the back was getting a little scraggly. here is the finished cut!

i was so proud of how patient she was while i cut it. she had too much interest in her bangs for it to be easy, but when i did the back she played with the toys i gave her and gave me free range. i was so pleased with how it went. she is so good!

way to go sweet girl!

no reason

no particular reason for these pics- they are just cute. here olive has climbed up me and i told her i am wearing her as a hat.

watching a little winter olympics with dad.

chewing on the end of a cool metal spoon feels good on the gums!

ladies and gentlemen....she's up!

after much leg strengthening, olive decided it was time for her to stand on her own, without mom and dad's help.

c'mon, how cute is this?

i couldn't believe it, i was so very proud of her!

as long as her hands are touching something to balance, she can stand!

for whatever reason she has always loved this towel ring in the bathroom and loves to stand with it- she is so silly.

she is growing up!

hmmm, this violin piece would feel so good on my gums.

let's see if i can handle this.

i don't know if i will get over this moment of how cute she is like this.

she loves to pick books off the bookshelf. this cookbook will do.

how about another.

standing with dad.

before church. so super cute!

dad, do you need help standing on your own?

if so, i can teach you, i am a pro.

new albany

daniel was selected to do a public outdoor sculpture project for a place called carnegie hall arts center in new albany indiana. this is a huge honor! here he is getting ready to go the breakfast they had in order for the artists to meet the donors. daniel had to give a presentation. he was met with a great response regarding his work and may have other opportunities lined up because of it.

so very proud of this dashing man: his vision, his drive, his creativity!

after nap

here is the sweet girl getting up from her nap.

she loves chewing on her blankets. that is how she puts herself to sleep.

okay ma'am, let's get out of bed.

this is her new smile she has been doing- no holding back. she smiles so big and crinkles her nose like i used to do when i was little. so precious, i could just eat her up!

love this little lady!

photobooth with the obs

olive loves the laptop, probably because of the bright light. one day dad showed her photobooth on the computer. until it takes her picture she can see herself on the screen. she thought it was amazing. and we get some great pics. here you can see her with one of her new 2 teeth.

another day, same great fun.

i was making her laugh.

clover said she wants a photobooth picture.

i love our family.
