end of nov thru mid dec

one thing olive really enjoys doing is unloading the tupperware drawer.

stacking it, organizing, reorganizing it....

then putting it back.

every week day morning she eats her breakfast then wants to sit with mom, blanket and lamby to watch a show.

checking out some flowers daddy brought mommy. she loves looking at and touching flowers!
we put them on the table in front of her seat so she could touch look at them while she ate.

crazy morning hair. and a "not so impressed" expression. "seriously, put down the camera and get me some breakfast."

loves to climb. here she is climbing the christmas rubbermaids we pulled out.

she gets to the top and shouts "BIG!". "mom...dad....BIG!"

coloring her play house.

oh yes... that door looks much better with that chalk on it.

oh and the inside too... of course!

in her playroom.

on thanksgiving we watched the parade in the morning and then decorated the tree. olive was pretty impressed with the tree. loved the lights and wanted to know all about the ornaments. (there are pictures missing here... i will grab them and put them up soon).

getting ready to go to thanksgiving dinner with the thompson/thomas family. so much fun! she had a blast. she started out shy. in the middle was enamored with and pet naomi a lot, played with stickers with sonya, climbed and did a lot of run/yelling/laughing with judah in the kitchen. so silly- she had a blast and so did we.

the next morning we woke up to our first snow of the season.

olive was a little confused as to what it was but liked snuggling with mom in the blanket.

showing me the beautiful picture her and sonya made the night before at thanksgiving dinner.

sonya wrote "olive" and olive wrote... well... whatever the blue stuff says.

olive and zeek or "zzzz" as olive calls him.

helping daddy work on stuff in the sunroom.

every morning when olive wakes up she grabs her blanket and lamb that i hand her and says "chair....book". she sits here covered up with lamby and "reads" while i pick out her clothes for the day. she loves routine. and i really like this one too.

i got clover some food and olive said "DOG!" she was so excited about the picture of the dog that she wouldn't let me through the bag away. she pulled it out and kept it in the kitchen. she would talk to the dog and walk the empty bag around the house. here she is bringing in a blanket to cover dog up.

such a good friend to dog photographs.

huh oh... lilly is on your head!

looking for what to get into next.

ball!

sitting in her chair.

climbing.

pulled herself up on the futon with her phone and lamby watching a show.

so precious!

olive decorated the tree too!

she has a good eye for what works.

these pics start december.
laundry time. here is olive sorting her socks to get them ready to wash.

once taken from her room and sorted on the potty they make their way to the floor, one by one.

yeah... that looks good. then she helps me put them in the laundry. always good about helping put things away.

in the sunroom. walked out there and pulled herself up.

being silly.

painting the table.

and the futon and floor.

"BIG!"

mom says "yes so big.... now sit on your bottom please"
ok, mom.

but i am still going to be silly.

sharing some of mom's dinner after having her hair washed. olive is always good at helping when it comes to food.

the kids... they tend to swarm when food is present.

looking so pretty in her strawberry dress.

she loves paper towels these days. always has to have one with her when she eats at the chance that she gets the smallest amount of anything on her hands. she also likes to take them and clean off her animals.

hmm.... what's this?
"this" was her play kitchen's drawer she left in the hallway. it had pics of dogs that mom had cut out of sales flyers crumpled up in it. which makes it pretty amazing.

and another of her favorites these days- a ball.

multitasking- taking care of three animals at once while begging at her dad's leg for whatever he was eating.

look pony... snow!

oh... and daddy!

daniel took olive out in the snow to experience it for the first time. she said "NO!" meaning "snow!!!" she was so excited to try it out.

daniel showing her the art of making a snowball.

then making a really big snow ball!

then threw it up in the air and let it crash down. olive thought it was hilarious. he threw a few snow balls at her and she cracked up. too fun... she says!

here she is trying her hand at throwing a snow ball too.

laughing in the fort mommy made her.

in her brand new snow boots.

she was so proud of herself!

owning those boots!

again with the paper towel.

such a big girl!

playing in the kitchen.

she likes playing with magnets.

and playing with her stroller which is mainly just a means to carry around a lot of random stuff.

using my face scrubber to brush her hair.
getting ready to go to the college's art club's christmas party.

they do a found gift exchange every year. every one has to bring something they found and wrap it as a gift. then they play an exchange game to see who gets what. it is really fun and everyone ends up with some crazy stuff. daniel got this pumpkin and olive LOVED it. "pop" is what she calls it. she thinks it is a ball, which she loves. she throws it, rolls it, puts it in chairs. endless fun, who would've thought.

playing with her kitchen.

and her "pop".

gram sent her a big fluffy moose and a scarf in the mail. olive loved them!

hugging moose.

and wrapping up in the scarf.
thanks gram.

we can't wait for Christmas this year with this little one. it will sure be memorable. she is so funny and has so much personality. i am sure she will enjoy it!
