Olive eating an apple

window doors=genius

olive thinks every door, and wall for that matter, should be made of glass.

it just makes it so much cooler when you can see what is on the other side!

hey dad, check out this window, it is amazing i say!

even the coolest things get left behind sometimes though.

i mean come on, this girl has a lot of exploring to do!

and looking super cute while doing it!

good to be a mommy day

the day after olive's first birthday was the my first opportunity to celebrate mother's day!

this day meant so very much to me.
daniel surprised me with a locket i had wanted for a long time and had no idea he had gotten for me! such an amazing man!

olive got to play with her new toys before church.

yum... fake chicken!

she is loving this food basket we got her!

that evening daniel and olive took me out to olive garden to celebrate mother's day!

wait, we are doing what? can i get pasta?

love this precious family of mine! it is so good to be a mom!

birthday, birthday, it's her birthday!

olive is officially one year old. what is the first thing she wanted to do when she got up? listen to music and dance. it is her new obsession. especially when she gets to dance with lily.

and wear her sunglasses- the other thing she wanted to do.

she spent the morning opening presents from family. thank you all! olive was showered with blessings from our loved ones and we so appreciate your kindess!

after that it was time for a nap.

then it was time for her party of course!

i made yummy cupcakes for her with fruit on top. what else for olive? she loves fruit!

she is ready folks! let get the music on!

what a blessed occasion!

olive checking out the balloons her daddy got her.

before everyone gets her she gets to eat her chicken and strawberry snack.

and reflect on her first year i am sure.

clover is reflecting on how hungry she is.

waiting for the guests to arrive.

yay! the thomas family came!

and alison! olive loves alison.

then the kincers came.

once boris and sydney arrived we started singing "happy birthday olive!"

she ate the strawberry off the top and kind of picked at the icing and licked her fingers.

i helped her tear into the cupcake and she loved it!

that is great stuff mom. i am glad i am one so i can eat cupcakes!

all the kids had so much fun playing together!

then she opened the gifts from her guests, our wonderful friends. it was such a great turnout and we are grateful to all who came.

the day finished out with lots of giggles while playing with balloons.

it was such a great day! God has truly blessed us with such a special little girl. it was wonderful taking a day to celebrate the gift of her!
