car cruise

one saturday night there was a car cruise in town. family date night!

i love antique cars, always have, so i was really looking forward to it.

there were so many beautiful cars.

the style cars used to have is beyond compare!

i was sure to show olive all the details.

we all had a great time!

daniel's favorites were the old trucks.

stingrays, impalas, bel airs, oh my!

olive really enjoyed her first classic car experience...

but eventually it was bed time and we had to go home.

first time with cereal

our pediatrician said we might want to try olive with some cereal.

so we gave it a shot. and boy was it interesting.

at first she was loving life, smiling and getting so excited.

i think she liked the gummy spoon.

but then she figured out we were leaving something in her mouth...

and didn't care too much for it.

but she did great! overall, a great experience for little bit.

taking it all in

olive loves to look at everything these days.

magazines, books, pringles cans.

she's got a lot to learn. might as well start now, she says!

evening time makes for a sleepy girl.

apple fest

evans orchard had their annual apple fest. we thought we would check it out.

it was a good day for it- the sun was shining and lots of people in the community showed up.

they sold fresh produce assumedly from local farmers and anything with apple in the title.

daniel got a fresh little apple pie.

the thomas family met us there. the little ones got to play in the play area while the adults got to catch up with each other.

it was a lot fun but by the end someone was all apple-d out.

4 mo old and ruling the roost!

olive is 4 months old. she just had her doctors checkup and got her second round of shots. of course they felt miserable but she handled them like a champ.

she is growing right on track and they were very happy with her health and developmental progress!

way to go olive- you are doing great! keep it up little lady!

daddy time

one day when daddy came home from work i asked him to take olive so i could get started on dinner.

when i paused to check on them this is what i found.

i just had to put the pots and pans on low heat and snap some pics.

how amazingly precious are these moments. i just want to freeze them forever and put them in my pocket.

darrell and kristin are having a cookout at their house to celebrate their birthdays! olive brought them some gifts.

the boys had a cook-off and produced some amazing grilled meat. tenderloin, ribs, steak...yum! nice job guys!

evy was ready for the party.

we all had a great time. it was great to hang out with friends!
