mom and dad thought i should show you how i play with new toys.
they think its funny or something.... i dunno. first i acquire a new fluffy friend via my parents.
next i use my doxie skills to evaluate my new friend and find its weakest point.then i rip it open! and get all the useless stuffing out. i go at lightning speed pulling it out and throwing it aside.
get out of there you.time to take a break. my ideal spot- the sunroom. i can watch the birds and listen to the neighborhood. back to business. i have to get this guy turned inside out before i will even consider playing with it. rightside out toys are just gross.ah... perfect. i havent gotten the fins yet, but i will later.
now i can add it to my fun toys that ive already fixed. time for a nap. phew toys makes me sleepy.
we recently took a trip to louisville to visit the speed art museum. we had so much fun walking around and taking it in. we even had lunch at their cafe.
grandma williams decided to crochet something. she decided to crochet something for her granddog clover. not even knowing how much clover loves sleeping under covers, she made clover and afghan. clover was oh so excited and that night made sure to sleep under her new gift.
miss sonya turned three years old. she had all her friends over for a Nemo themed party. they colored, fished, played hide and seek, had cookie cake and presents. it was a very fun party- missy and brandon did such a great job!
beth and chad had noah february 25th. he weighed 7 lb 70z and he's basically the sweetest boy i've ever met. i got to spend a week with them after his birth. i am a very very proud aunt.
at the end of the year we were really blessed to trade in our 99 civic and get this 08 crv. we are super excited. our civic was head down hill so this came at a really good time.
at the beginning of 08 we were able to travel to nc and va to visit some family. it was a great time to break away and spend with loved ones. while i was there my grandma taught me how to crochet. when we got home i made daniel this scarf. which was good time because all the winter weather hit soon after. tornadoes, snow, ice. brrr. i left my job at the newspaper to begin my venture to start my own business. it will be a photo restoration business. I am very excited but of course a little nervous. prayers appreciated. clover is doing good. guarding the house from rain and what not. all is well on the homefront.
daniel had yet another show that he performed amazingly at. he was invited to have a one-man show at a gallery run by the lexington art league. we had a ton of people show up from lexington and georgetown at the opening. he received great aclaim, as usual. we also found out at the opening that there was a review in the lexington herald-leader. we bought one on the way home. The article praised him and his work- very positive. God is really blessing him here with his artwork. and i couldn't be more proud.
daniel and i were supposed to dress up at work for halloween. his work had an art theme and we were going to have trick or treaters at my work. i challenged daniel to a pencil costume. yeah, its simple but i knew daniel would make it brilliant, as he did. i decided to be smurfette, later realizing that today's kids dont know who she is. but hey, i had fun.
daniel has just finished his piece for the outdoor sculpture exhibit here on campus. he made a see-saw for adults. in each chair are old library books. in one chair in the front is a metal mouth, in the other is a metal ear. its to represent the relaton between student and teacher. its..umm...awesome. he has already had a lot of people on them, including the curator from the speed gallery in louisville. his response was "i havent done this in 38 years!". it was great. this piece will be up on campus for 2 years. another show down, another to go. daniel has a lot on his plate right now. prayers would be appreciated.
we met in 2003, married in 2004 and have loved every minute. God blessed us further in may 2009 with the birth of our daughter olive adelaide. together with our doxie clover, we are one happy family.
